The Bondi Break has been an annual surfing competition at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, since 1987. The event is open to surfers of all levels, from amateur to professional.

The competition pool is divided into three sections: men's single, women's single, and tag team. In the men's single division, the top 32 surfers from around the world compete for the title of champion. The current defending champion is Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina. In the women's single division, the top 16 female surfers compete for the title. The current defending champion is Australian surfer Stephanie Gilmore. And in the tag team division, the top 8 teams of two surfers each compete for the title.

Judging is based on a combination of wave height and difficulty, with each surfer receiving a score out of 10 from each judge. The surfer with the highest total score is crowned champion.
